Kenzi Botanics planters are made of a
rotationally molded, UV resistant, high quality
polyethylene which delivers an exceptional strength and
durability.
Rotational molding is a low pressure,
high temperature manufacturing method for producing
hollow one-piece plastic parts. Rotational molding
enabled polymer product manufacturers to create
light-weight, seamless, stress-free parts of virtually
any size and in the most complex shapes. Today, it is
considered as a very competitive alternative to blow
molding, thermoforming and injection molding in the
manufacturing of hollow plastic parts.
Rotational Molding Process:
- Pre-measured plastic resin (Polyethylene) is
loaded into the mold.
- The molds are placed into an oven, and slowly
rotated on two axes. The heat penetrates the molds,
melting resin adheres to the mold’s inner surface
until it’s fused and evenly coats the entire surface
- During this phase, the mold continues to be
rotated to maintain even walls as air, water spray,
or a combination of the two gradually cools the mold
- The mold is opened, the finished part removed,
and the mold is ready for its next cycle
Rotational Molding

- Economic tooling costs
- Design flexibility
- One piece seamless construction
- Tough, long lasting
- Uniform wall thickness
- Corrosion-proof
- Variety of colors and finish
- Light weight
